The Miami Carnival will be Florida’s greatest cultural experience of 2022, combining fun and festivities with the beauty of Miami Florida, over Columbus Day Weekend in October. The annual carnival is broken into four signature events, J’ouvert, Panorama, Junior Carnival, and a costumed Parade. The carnival also features a concert, with talent from all over the world, coming together to celebrate Caribbean culture.
Experience J’ouvert for yourself
J’ouvert will last from 6am to 5pm on the 9th of October. Meanwhile, the rest of the Miami Carnival will take place starting at 9am and continuing all the way until midnight. J’ouvert is a popular celebration in Caribbean cultures. Having originated in Trinidad, the tradition quickly spread across the rest of the Caribbean, before eventually coming to North America.
This year, the Miami Carnival promises to deliver an immersive and authentic J’ouvert experience unlike Miami has ever seen. If you don’t want to miss live performances by Skinny Banton, Iwer George, and Tallpree, then book your tickets as soon as possible. The event will also heavily feature authentic Caribbean cuisine, highlighting some of the best Caribbean chefs in Miami.
Who Else Is Performing?
A number of other local artists and bands will also be performing at the Miami Carnival this year, from Hysteria to K-paya, Dutty Pleasures, and even Revel Nation. These are just a few of the bands performing this year. With so many diverse talents, there’s bound to be something for everyone to enjoy.
The Junior Carnival
The Junior Carnival is the perfect event for children to have fun and celebrate Caribbean culture. There will be music, dancing, food stalls, contests, and several more fun attractions for you and your children to enjoy together.
If you’d like to bring your whole family to the Miami Carnival this October, book your tickets as soon as you can.
