This is an event that Belen Jesuit Preparatory School plans and waits for all year: Fr. Dorta-Duque, SJ Memorial Tombola. The event, filled with food, fun and games is a culmination of the school’s efforts throughout the year to create the best event possible for local families in the community. Belen Jesuit begins planning the event in May of the previous year and their work trickles down to the very last minute of the event.
Tombola hosts a variety of events catering to every age, each day. The Culinary Extravaganza kicks off Tombola weekend and is perfect for food lovers who will be in attendance on Friday night. This event features a variety of the city’s restaurants with exciting wine pairings. Some of the restaurants include: Big Easy, La Esquina de Lechon, Divieto, Smokey Boys BBQ, Bacardi Bar, Pisco y Nazca and more. Another event on Saturday evening hosts those who enjoy wine itself: the 7th Annual Wine Tasting in the Saladrigas Art Gallery on Saturday evening.
The Cigar Lounge will be open on Saturday and Sunday at the Raul and Nidia Rodriguez Science Pavilion. For alumni, there will be a photo booth set up in the Roberto Goizueta Athletic Center equipped with Belen photo props.
For children and young adults, there are plenty of rides throughout the entirety of Tombola. The brand-new Laser Tag Zone is set up on Sánchez Field in the de la Cruz Stadium; Battle of the DJs is an event introduced to the Tombola Fairgrounds on Saturday night.
In the Garrido Family Plaza and the Roberto Goizueta Athletic Center, Tombola hosts its Bazaar that had 35 vendors, open starting at noon on Saturday and Sunday. For art lovers, there are over 40 artists from the district on display Friday from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. Tombola hosts its own closing ceremony Sunday night at 8:30 p.m. in the Garrido Family Plaza that lit up the night sky.
YML Portable Restrooms was contracted to provide portable bathrooms for the weekend event. The luxury and quality, inside and out, will guarantee to satisfy everyone. When walking into a YML Restroom trailer, attendees are welcomed with a VIP restroom that has music and spacious settings. The cleanliness and modern look of our units always impresses guests. To take our attention to detail to the next level, we also provided restroom attendant services throughout the weekend which ensured units were maintained clean, sanitized, and stocked.
